    is it just a pain in brain to put a flick switch on the back and you can get 4800 Baud rate without a headache.

    My latest plaything is a 3D printer, a modified prusa mendel I got from Simon Holmes in Nelson.
    BIG learning curve, already staticked one board and got Sion to tune the replacement.
    Those chips are for a different model board I wanted to test on another frame sitting in the wings

    I recently needed to port my phones lines to a VoIP provider. I tried a number of ATA's and settled on the Cisco SPA112. It is a great product to VoIP enable your cordless phones. It works really well with 2talk.co.nz giving clear voice in both directions with very little latency even over a 3G router. And backed by Nicegear's excellent service you can't go wrong.

    We used to order our IP phones from another company. Not anymore. Service really matters when you are unsure of how the latest technology works.     Once again our dealings with Nice Gear have been 5 Star. We recently updated our VOIP PBX due to a mishap, and Hadley recommended what was right for us, and not a more expensive device. The Yeastar PBX is fantastic. We now use sip peering, no longer requiring registration, saving bandwidth and the frustration of waiting for re-registration when there is a problem.

    I cannot recommend Nicegear highly enough. I placed an order and received delivery the very next day. Unfortunately it was the wrong device (my mistake not theirs). I emailed them asking (hoping) for a refund and was told that would be no problem as long as it came back in a reasonable condition. I ordered the correct item that same day, and once again received it the next working day. I received a refund for the original item the day after. Extremely impressed with the prompt, helpful, and considerate service. I will definitely be using these guys in the future.

     I put an order in at 4.15 PM yesterday, I received a shipping email at 10.55 PM, and the courier delivered my package at 7.30 AM the next morning! That's pretty damn impressive for a company in Timaru which is providing goods to another company in Auckland - no other company I use is capable of such prompt service, not even the Auckland based companies. Thish is why Nicegear is always my first choice when I'm buying robotics components - Awesome work Hadley!

     So far so good! :) We needed to get a new phone system cheaper than what the big players were offering. As I am new to the game (just a lowly computer technician at a high school) I was limited in my knowledge about the best open source solutions. Hadley has been very helpful in steering me in the right direction, and the very good recommendations on equiptment - and when I got stuck, pointed me to some good forums to get me back on track.
     
     The equipment supplied so far is very satisfactory and works well in my test environment. I hope to roll the new system out in 3 weeks time so will update on this progress. Interestingly some around town, and other schools from outside town have heard what im doing here, and want in as well - so I could be very busy in the next few months!
     
     At the end of the day - The cheapest phone system quote I could get from the pros was $18,000+GST - and that was skimping on alot of features. With the equipment from nice gear - I hope to have a system in place with all the bells and whistles for no more than $5,000!

     Hey! Your delivery service is second to none. Overnight to Greymouth, now why can't others do that?
     The DSO NANO I got from is a beautiful piece of kit, most of what I play with is not too far past audio frequencies and all the possible readings make this almost the only test gear I need on my bench(top of the freezer so I get yelled at a bit). Put a decent probe on it as the origional looked a bit light. Plus if I ever need a twin trace I'll buy another one. Now I've got this Arduino kit to suss out.

     We've been using nicegear for quite some time now, and are really happy with the service. Recently we considered importing some IP phones to save a bit of money (we needed quite a few), but after talking with Hadley (and considering the double freight, and double GST annoyances) we were pointed toward a much better solution. Hadley recommended a different phone, which was about half the price, and much cheaper than we could import for.      I am very happy with the two Technisat S-1401 cards I bought. They were natively supported by Linux. MythTv was relatively easy to setup. Now I can record up to 10 Freeview shows at one time (a limit set by software, not the cards). Enough about the cards.
     
     I had no problems with the service from Nice Gear. I ordered on the weekend and it arrived on Tuesday morning. It's also comforting to know Nice Gear has knowledge of what works with Linux.

     nicegear is one of the best online ordering sites I've encountered in a long time. Not only does it look very tidy and effective, everything actually works including PDF downloads of invoices.
     
     To have all of this with helpful pre- and post-sales support, and prompt delivery, is definitely a welcome change from the typical online store.
