QNAP TS-209 Pro II NAS

The QNAP TS-209 Pro II is a two (SATA) drive Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. These little boxes run an embedded Linux system and can be hacked to run a full Linux distribution such as Debian.

QNAP TS-209 Pro II Turbo NAS is an all-in-one, high performance NAS server designed for storage-hungry business and SOHO users to save, back up, manage, and share data. It also satisfies the needs of modern business for centralized data management as well as offering many value-added features.

QNAP leads the way in the 2-bay NAS market by adopting a high performance 500MHz CPU and 256MB DDRII memory in it's TS-209 Pro II model.

The TS-209 Pro II supports multiple simultaneous access to services across Windows, Mac, Linux and Unix. Windows AD authentication is also supported to lower the maintenance cost of user accounts.

S.M.A.R.T. HDD function is offered to provide complete information of the hard drive status and prevent potential physical drive failure. The comprehensive log system of this NAS summarizes the detailed data access records and connection status. All errors and warning messages can also be sent to the administrator by e-mail.

The TS-209 Pro II provides a 12-in-1 value-added function set. You can use the built-in phpMyAdmin, Joomla!, MySQL/ SQLite web server to create interactive web sites. A maximum of 3 USB printers are supported with the printer server function. Various data storage and management mechanisms are supported, e.g. FTP server with SSL/TLS encrypted technology, SSH login, and web page SSL login to enable users to transfer, store, and share data securely.

The TS-209 Pro II provides the most complete backup solution for secure data protection with it's professional backup software: NetBak Replicator. You can select Auto-Sync/ Instant/ Schedule backup modes to back up the data on multiple Window PCs. The encrypted Remote Replication and RAID 1 disk mirroring ensures exclusive data protection.

The TS-209 Pro II adopts low-noise fans and power-saving design which is excellent for long-term operation and deployment in small business environments without a server room.
