Thomson ST2030

The Thomson SpeedTouch 2030 is a VoIP phone that is compliant with SIP/MGCP and can be used with FreeSWITCH, the Asterisk Open Source PBX, various soft switches or even IP centrex. The ST2030 offers a high quality IP solution at a cost effective price making voice over IP (VoIP) more accessible for businesses.

The 128*64 full graphic LCD screen presents 6 lines of information for easy multiple line call management, menu navigation and soft key activation. Designed for business the ST2030 features a quick easy "scrolling and moving" key set, that easily navigates though a range of system features, phone functions, call logs and phone book.

The ST2030 has 10 programmable keys which can be used for a number of feature options such as line Keys, BLF busy lamp fields, speed dialling and network service supervision features like DND, call forward, secretarial filtering and hunt group supervision. This can be extended by an additional 28 programmable keys, with the use of the extension module. The Thomson ST2030 extension module is the perfect addition for receptionist and call centre managers looking to monitor call activity.

The ST203 auto provisioning system (DHCP, TFTP, or HTTP) allows for the quick and easy auto-installation and upgrade of new firmware, melody files, language file, VLAN provision information and configuration files, reducing deployment times and ADD/MOVE/CHANGE maintenance process. The Web browser interface supports an admin and user security mode, allowing selective access to configuration and firmware upgrades modes. The ST2030 also supports telnet, allowing easy "on the fly" configuration changes, SIP traces and fault diagnostics which is appreciated by many engineering support teams, particularly for those remote installations.

The ST2030 increases security and quality through VLAN support & segregation, allowing a Data VLAN to the PC, and Voice VLAN to be managed separately through the phone. Quality is also ensured through ToS Diffserv, 802.1p/Q, with Voice Activity Detection (VAD), Comfort Noise Generation (CNG) and Pack Loss Compensation maximizing bandwidth utilization within the LAN or WAN connection. Codec priority’s, Adaptive Jitter buffer lengths and Packetisation are all easily configured to provide the best match for local or wide area network environments.

The ST2030 supports STUN (for NAT traversal) and UPnP for remote office installations.
